After testing on the publicly released version of macOS 10.13 High Sierra, all of our Garritan libraries will be compatible with macOS High Sierra when used with ARIA Player 1.872 or later. There are however, some notable exceptions including using the plug-ins in Apple host DAWs.

In more recent maintenance updates (10.13.2 and 10.13.3) both of the issues below are not present; however, since no work was targeted at these specific problems, they could return in later maintenance updates.

Apple Host Digital Audio Workstations and Garritan Plug-Ins

When loading the ARIA Player into a project in a host application created by Apple (such as Logic or Garageband) you may run into an error that states you need an updated version of the plug-in. After closing this error message, the plug-in will not work as expected.

This issue has been reported to our development team and a fix is being investigated; however, no timeline is currently available for this fix. To be kept up-to-date on information about this issue, please click the green Follow button at the bottom of this article to subscribe to it.

CFX Concert Grand and CFX Lite players

CFX Concert Grand and CFX Lite each have their own players separate from the ARIA Player that have additional controls and are dedicated to the libraries. As of the release of macOS 10.13.2 and later there are no known compatibility issues with the CFX Players and this OS.

Previous releases of this macOS version will cause the CFX Player to crash when exiting the Preferences dialog. If you are experiencing this crash please update to the current version of this OS.
