Apple will release macOS 15 (Sequoia) on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Finale v27 is not compatible with Sequoia and will not be updated.

This article is designed to give you the information for reinstalling the instruments for Finale. Please choose your operating system and then your Finale version to get started.

Reinstalling the Garritan Instruments for Finale

  1. Close any open programs except this web browser.
  2. Please login to your account here.
  3. Click My Software.
  4. Click the Download link next to the Finale software.
  5. Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file on your computer. By default, the installer will go to your Downloads folder on your computer. It will be a folder titled FinaleSetup.zip.
  6. Right-click the FinaleSetup.zip folder and choose Extract All.
  7. Complete the extraction process (Extract, Next, Finish, etc.). A window will appear with the contents of the Finale installer package.
  8. Double-click FinaleSetup.exe. If a User Account Control dialog box appears click Yes to allow the installer to make changes to your computer.
  9. Click Next.
  10. In the next window, Select Components, deselect all other installation components, leaving only Garritan Instruments for Finale checked.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Click Install.
  13. Select your language to use during the installation and click OK.
  14. For the rest of the installation process answer in the affirmative (Next, OK, Install, etc.) until the installation is complete.

Once you have finished the reinstallation of the Garritan Instruments for Finale, restart your computer, and test to see if you are able to use the Garritan Instruments in Finale.

  10. Click Install.
  11. Select your language to use during the installation and click OK.
  12. For the rest of the installation process answer in the affirmative (Next, OK, Install, etc.) until the installation is complete

Once you have finished the reinstallation of the Garritan Instruments for Finale, restart your computer, and test to see if you are able to use the Garritan Instruments in Finale.

Reinstalling the Garritan Instruments for Finale

  5. Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file on your computer. By default, the file will go to your Downloads folder on your computer. It will be titled Finale2012cWinFull.zip.
  6. Double-click the title of the .zip file to open the compressed folder, click Install Finale 2012c, and select Extract All.
  7. Leave the file path in the next window as the default file path and click Extract.
  8. If a window appears that says Copy File select "Do this for the next [number] of conflicts," then click Copy and Replace. You can click Yes if it asks to confirm folder replacement. If you don't see this window at all, simply continue to the next step.
  9. After extracting all files open your Downloads folder.
  10. Locate and open the folder called Finale2012cWinFull, not the compressed .zip folder
  11. Double-click Install Finale 2012c. If a User Account Control dialog box appears click Yes to allow the installer to make changes to your computer.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Next again.
  14. Click Next again.
  15. In the next window, Choose Components, deselect all other installation components leaving only Garritan Instruments for Finale checked.
  16. Click Install.
  17. Select your language to use during the installation and click OK.
  18. For the rest of the installation process answer in the affirmative (Next, OK, Install, etc.) until the installation is complete.

Once you have finished the reinstallation of the Garritan Instruments for Finale, restart your computer, and test to see if you are able to use the Garritan Instruments in Finale. At this point if you are still unable to use the Garritan Instruments for Finale, there are some additional support options for our legacy products you may wish to explore.

  12. Enter your password for your computer's user account if prompted. You will need administrator access.
  13. At this point, everything is set up properly, you can complete the rest of the installation by answering the usual steps in the affirmative (Next, Continue, Install, etc.).

Once you have finished the reinstallation of the Garritan Instruments for Finale, restart your computer, and test to see if you are able to use the Garritan Instruments in Finale.
