For future updates, it would be great if you can expand the names of the Open Recent Files dropdown list (See attachment). I typically have longer file names and they are always cutoff. As an application developer myself, there is a lot of real-estate on the screen to allow for this. Or, allow the dialog box to be resized wider.

Plus, setting the width property of the expanded list should be the work of a few seconds

Trust me, at Finale HQ, nothing is the work of a few seconds…

And nothing about programming is simple.

Just a simple property setting; no programing involved. It's getting it on the to-do list that's not so simple!

If it is such a simple setting, why not adapt it yourself.

Any programming change has repercussions on other aspects of the program which have to be tested and fixed before release.

Hmmmmm.... The window allows 25 characters/spaces for you but 31 for me. It's the same if I do it from the File menu

or the Launch Screen

If there's a setting, I'm not seeing it.

I'm referring to the Launch Window, not the list that appears at the bottom of the File menu.

Having been an application developer myself for over 30 years, this shouldn't be a big deal ..... depending on how the launch window is rendered.   It's a minor thing, but you can see that the list looks different depending where you view the recents.  I'm sure that are a lot of other things that need to be fixed / enhanced ahead of this.

I’m guessing that you must be on Windows because I’ve posted what it looks like on a Mac — where the character count is the same.

You aren’t the first who’s puffed his resume while declaring how easy something should be. You won’t be the last.
