Hello to all. This is the first time I use this function, so I don't really know how many people will access to my post. Anyway here it goes.

I'm using FINALE since I remember, and now using FINALE 27.3 in WINDOWS 11.

As an arranger, and an engraver I use many times keyboard writing. Well, as all of you know it takes a lot of time comparing to single staff instruments.

I have a suggestion that comes from the time of a very old program that most of you might know, that was MUSIC TIME, and it had a special layer to double staff writing that allowed us to insert automatically cross staff notes instead of inserting the music all in one staff, than cross staff notes, than adjust noteheads and all the subsequent work.

With a special layer for that, it would save all of us a lot of time using all the already great FINALE capacities in this cross staff layer.

Don't you think it might be a good idea for some next update?

Season greatings to you all

Hi, João,

I don’t remember that feature from MusicTime or Encore (I had both). Although an Encore 6 update that opens old files is promised, it’s not here yet and the Mac version no longer works.

Do you have screen shots that you can post so we can see the process? You can add .png or jpg.

Hello Mike,

I don't have screen shots. This was almost 30 years ago. I've started with MusicTime, than changed to Encore and than to FINALE since version 2.1.... or so, this is from my memory. Sorry

I don't intend to go back to any of those programs, just would like to have that feature in FINALE.

I get it but I am having trouble visualizing this feature. MusicTime was 30+ years ago for me, too.
