So you have the option to set up Custom Text Expressions in the HP settings.  This gives me a lot of flexibility to create triggers for sample patches that Finale might not officially support. However, once an instrument triggers one of those text expressions that I've set up in the HP settings, it then ignores all other HP settings.

For example, I have a custom text expression to use a program change to switch to a new patch when HP observes "a2" in the score.  The problem is, if I have staccatos or trills coming up, HP will now ignore them and continue on with it's a2 patch.  How do I cancel the a2 patch so that HP will observe the other program changes I've entered in?

I've tried creating an "ord" trigger that reverts everything back to the default sustain patch, but then I have the same issue - it ignores all other HP settings.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm using Finale 27.3.0.137 on Windows 11
