Mac OS X 10.14.6 Mojave; Finale 27.3; Garritan Aria Player version 1969

I can use/run/work with/ all aspects of the Garritan Aria Player with Garageband, Digital Performer 10, Ableton Live 9 suite, and as a standalone player with imported midi files , but when I use it with Finale the Aria Player is locked and it is impossible to shift from The Aria mixer window to the effects window etc etc. Nothing in the player answers to any kind of keyboard or mouse commands while Finale plays back a score, but the Aria Player plays back the chosen sound(s) . I have to stop the Finale playback control to be able to do any kind of edit/choices/changes in the Aria Player. This, of course, makes the Aria Player for Finale completely useless since I have to stop Finale playback to adjust anything in the Aria Player. The problem happens only with Finale. Why....??????

Do you have the latest version of the Aria Player and Engine? There should be buttons to updaet each on the Settings tab of the Player itself.

For Windows, the latest versions are : Player - 1.959; Engine - 1.967

but the Mac may have received a more recent update to use with the M1 processors.

Have you clicked the buttons on the Settings page to see if they will update your Player or Engine?

As I said, I have no idea what the latest versions of Aria are for the Mac.
