I got the files for the Holiday music 2016. When I attempted to open some of them, I get this error message  - 'Aria Session Loader This session was made for Aria 1.894 while your version is 1.872. please update.'

When I go to the downloads page - I get a message that 1.872 is the most recent.  (???)

 

I have a MacBook Pro, Mac OS Sierra v 10.12.1.  Finale 2014.5.7098

The most recent Aria (Plogue) engine is 1.902

Richard,

You are receiving that error message because the file you are opening used a different Aria Engine version than what you currently have installed on your computer. If you go to MIDI/Audio > Reassign Playback Sounds, the playback should work just fine.

The Aria Engine is used for other libraries other than Garritan Instruments. Aria has released updates to the Aria Engine that are not necessarily required by the Garritan libraries. So, although you are not required to install these updates, you can. The updates are available at Aria's website: http://ariaengine.com/support/

One can update either engine or Aria player from the Settings page/tab of the current Aria player.

(I'll do anything to avoid having to keep track of web addresses.)
