In the chord suffix editor, it's quite tedious to enter new chord suffixes as you have to manually edit every single character's position. It would be nice if one could enter text strings much the same way as in text blocks. The horizontal/vertical values for each character should be calculated automatically depending on the font and should still be editable. Also replacements like CTRL-SHIFT-B for a "b" accidental should work while entering. Additionally, it would be good to have multiple baselines for elements of chord suffixes: this would speed up the process of creating multiline chord symbols like "C13sus4" where the "sus4" could be put below the "13". See also this suggestion.

Hi Harald:
The Chord Suffix Editor is very long overdue for a major overhaul. All of your suggestions are excellent ones.

Hello Michael,

Is there a way to set the font for the Chord Definition Dialog Box?

I have a custom font with some symbols I would like to use as Chords

Thanks

Hi Jai:

Yes, there are a few controls of chord suffix fonts. For future fonts, you can do that in the Document Options / Fonts / chords..

You can also just change the suffix under the Chord menu "Change Chord Suffix fonts..." and you can specify the font in the chord suffix editor.

I also support an overhaul of the Chord Suffix Editor window, long overdue.

2 additional requests :

1) a larger window, with percentage views (like in the Graphic Designer : 100%, 200%, etc...)

2) Document Options -> Fonts -> Notation -> Alteration (especially the size) SHOULD NOT have a effect on alterations in the suffixes that use "Prefix with". We should be able to have different sizes between the alteration of the root and the alterations of the suffixes using "Prefix with".
