1. I started notating a song. I do it in parts - each part adding on to a previous part in case I want to re-do part of a song. To do this I "Save As" and change the name. I placed chords w/fret boards in each part. The 1st 2 parts show the chord as I entered them. The last 2 show the same chords with different fingering on the fret boards. 

2.As I place chords in the song, the software sometimes DOES and sometime DOESN'T use MY choice of fingering for the fret board.

3. Is alternative chords new? It is not in my Finale 2014 Guide book nor in the help file.
