Songwriter 2012

 

This is a problem in playback , I suppose , but when I place crescendo or decrescendo nothing seems wrong . I have full control over editing them , but in playback they are n't heard . This issue began about a week after I installed Songwriter , and there had not been any fatal crashes or anything to cause the issue , it just started one day when I went to finish writing something out When I was finished writing it out , I decided to listen to the completed piece . Every part has a four measure crescendo at the beginning , but instead of playing a crescendo , it ignored it and went straight from mezzo-piano to forte . This issue occurs with every crescendo or decrescendo in any piece I listen to , even if I composed it before or after I upgraded to Songwriter

What would I submit it under? I can't do technical support because the have Songwriter labeled as a legacy version...

"Songwriter Playback Issue"?

Then say what you say above. Perhaps attach a file that demonstrates the problem. (I'm pretty sure attaching a .mus or .musx file is permitted there.)

I'm not sure if attaching a file will work because I think it's an issue with the program on my computer. Also, when I submitted the ticket, it automatically told me that I had a legacy version after it entered the system, so I don't think it was even reviewed by a human. The ticket info also said resolved afterwards

Actually, do you think that it would work of I submitted a ticket under the Callback on Existing Ticket catagory? I'll try that.

Hi Trevor,

 

I wanted to see if I can clarify.

 

I'm afraid that as a legacy version of our notation products, SongWriter 2012 is no longer eligible for technical support, so in-depth technical support will be unavailable.

 

However, I realize this is a confusing situation, so what I can do is offer some suggestions that may help. First off, please make sure that Human Playback is activated for the file(s) in question. You can do so by choosing MIDI > Human Playback > Standard. 

 

If this does not work or causes crashes, I would be curious about checking compatibility. What version of what operating system (Windows/Mac) are you running?

Thanks, man. That worked just fine. The playback was set on "none"
