I play Bb clarinet in a trio and a quartet (flute, clarinet, cello and flute, clarinet, horn and cello). We often buy standard classical pieces and rearrange them for us to play. I recently bought Mozart's Piano Quartets no. 1 & 2, for piano, violin, viola and cello. I would like to be able to scan the viola part on my scanner/printer into Finale and refigure it for Bb clarinet. Is that possible? If so how do I do it? I have read a lot of stuff about Dolet, Music XML files, and other software, but I can't figure it out. The only alternative is to transcribe the viola part, note by note, into Finale, transpose it to Bb clarinet, treble clef, and print it out - a tedious task. Any help will be appreciated. I am running Windows 10 on a Lenovo PC, and Finale recent update from Print Music. I don't know how to find the version number.
