Hello Ken,

Select the Staff Tool, then go into the menu "Staff > Edit Staff Attributes." From there, select the staff you want to add measure numbers to from the pull down menu. In the bottom middle of this Staff Attributes dialogue box, there will be a "Measure numbers" box that you can check on and off.


Check the box and Press "OK" and your measure numbers should show up in that staff. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply,  Unfortunately, that adds the measure numbers in the part but not in the part in the full score which is where I need it.  Any other suggestions are most welcome.

That's strange, I have them showing up in the score as well. Any chance you have "exclude other staves" checked in the Edit Measure Number Regions dialogue box? That's the only reason I could see the measure numbers not showing up without some further digging...

Yes, that is checked but if I do not check it, then measure numbers show up in some of the other staffs within the score.

By using the Staff attributes, you can uncheck the "Measure Numbers" under "Items To display" for those staves that show measure numbers where you don't want them to be. That should do the trick :)

FYI - I only want numbers in the top of the page (done), bottom of the page (done) and the Percussion staff (not done). Thank you again for your help.

Document menu > Edit Measure Number Regions…

Is the measure number region set to, only display measure numbers on the Top Staff and the Bottom Staff?
