All of the sudden my Lyrics tool will not function.  I have not exceeded by any means 10,000 characters per verse.  I have assigned each movement it's own verse. I am on a MAC and when I go to start typing in Lyrics for any of the 4 voices, SATB, the "color wheel" simply keeps spinning.  It has been spinning now on the ALTO line for 2 hours.  IT just seems to do that on the ALTO line.. IT spun for 10 minutes average for S, T and B voices.  I have restarted my computer.  I have had FORCE QUIT finale and restart.  Has not rectified the problem.  I have also RESET PREFERENCES in Finale.. still hasn't fixed the issue.

You seem to be having a couple of VERY idiosyncratic problems. Perhaps you should try...

  1. Closing and restarting Finale.
  2. Restarting your computer.
  3. Reinstalling the Finale v25 package.

Which Mac operating system are you using?

Perhaps you've already confirmed this - but are you entering lyrics on the same layer as the notes?  If you are somehow on layer 2 and the notes are layer 1, you'll get nothing.  Your spinning wheel implies something else is wrong, but on the offside chance this helps, I thought I would post it...
