Many applications (including all your competitors) use Ctrl + the mouse Scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Very convenient and intuitive. Please consider making Finale respond this way.

Also, shift scroll is backwards (It moves the wrong direction) and too slow.  

Scrolling down means you want to look down the page (move scrollbar down), not move the page down (view up).  This is how scrolling works on EVERY other software (e.g web browser). Having to do this backwards makes my brain hurt.  It needs to be about twice as fast as well, and no momentum (should stop scrolling immediately you stop turning the scroll wheel - or is it just catching up?)

A lot of mouse cursor busy indication as well while scrolling.
