I need to show when to strum down the guitar and when to strum up. You get a different sound from the same fingering. Basically, the root is different - even if the same note, its a different pitch. And when the same chord is strummed in different directions it sounds different. Is there any way to do this from the staff OR the fret boards ? I'm not a student, but it would be useful for guitar teachers with beginning students.
