I am using Keyboard Maestro. I have programmed a macro, where a mouse click is simulated, so that in Scroll View, I can skip from one bar to another ( 1 2 3 4 5), going back and forth.

Then I also programmed a macro that selects the Go to bar field, "cleans it up" and then, I type a bar where I want to jump to.

I would suggest that one adds these two simple functions.

Thanks

Hi Dr. Thöne:

Great ideas that I've also wanted for quite some time. Story captured as FIN-3682. Thank you for making this request.

HI Michael,

thank you very much for all your comments and in particular the "new spirit" how feature requests seem to be handled. If all of the documented FIN-.... become features, Finale is absolutely a future-proof-software.

May I ask something: would you please consider me as a beta tester for Finale (in particular the English version)? Last time I applied via facebook but I was too late. I work with Finale on a daily basis, either for music prep work, my own compositions or teaching at the university. In addition to my composition and music theory courses, I also teach courses on Finale at the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover, Germany.

Thanks,

Raphael Thoene.

Dear Dr. Thöne:

Thank you for the encouraging words of support. Yes, once we have implemented all the fine features documented Finale will be an amazing and robust application for music notation. I've heard it said that music software shortened the engraving time for 8 hours per page to 1 hour per page. My dream is Finale reducing the time to 30 minutes or less. We have much work ahead of us, but I have great confidence in the team.

I just sent you a private email to your email on record concerning the beta program. If you did not receive, please let me know.

Thank you for your use of Finale, your excellent suggestions on this community, and your passion to improve music notation.

Cheers,

Michael Johnson
