I have just purchased both GPO5 - and also JABB3.

I got somewhat tired of the thin, squeaky sounds of the soft-synth in Finale, and thought that Garritan Libs would come somewhat closer to my sounds I have, when creating the actual arrangements in Logic Pro. (which I then export as a MIDI-File, and finish off in Finale).

Now, the urge of having extremely realistic sounds has changed drastically for me the last 10 years...   When the whole thing started with virtual-instruments... well, or even with samplers before, I was always hunting for an even better version of anything.      - I would say now, that I was more interested in searching sounds than actually writing music.

Nowadays - it is just the opposite!

Basically, I don't care too much if the Bari-Sax sounds as the SoftSynth does...   it's just sometimes a bit irritating. that's all.

 - but, when I began...   I mean...  that was, like...  10-15 years ago.

How can it be that I just purchased a "massive" SoundLib (albeit from 2009/2010) - that sounds CRAP?!

 - I payed 150€uros for this DVD.   and I think that I could've created something similar or even better myself, with my humble knowledge!!!

okokok...   it HAS some cool features with layers and expressions etc...   but the sounds are AMAZINGLY bad!

...and the WORST of it all is the HANDLING of the interface!!

I think it is so bad, that it is funny!     What are you doing all day?!?!?

PLEASE  make a MAJOR ReThink / Overhaul of the:

•User-Interface!!   (I would personally tilt the interface by 90°, and take away the big mixer.

(most important; I would like to see a mixer that sets the instrument "ROOM-VOLUME"  not the p/mp/mf volume - which is controlled by CC07)

•ReThink the madness of having sounds in 24bit /havent you heard KhZ.

Spend more time on making plausible "AMBIENCE" presets, where MONO-SAMPLES sound perfectly good!  (and, logically - load faster)

•ReThink the idea that the user wants to wait for a HUGE stereo-grand to load...just because it's fancy...

(I prefer to have a less pristine sound, that ALWAYS is loaded   ---   ALLLLLWAYYYS!!!).

Soooo many small things, that I would fix very soon, if I would be a sales manager.

 ( just to make it clear; I DO like the products...  they ARE good,.   ...but could be SO much better - without much hazzle).

(I use an iMac with OS X 11   8GB RAM)
