How many old leadsheets do you have with extra chords (hand)-written in above?  Like a different key, corrections, additional alt chords, Nashville numbers?

That's what I need - extra lines of chords.

In the software you could just add the functionality of verses to the chords - verse 1, verse 2 etc.

I've tried just adding lines using lyrics tool, awkward, and the size adjustment is not great, but it can be done, and thus shouldn't be too hard to add to Finale.

Hi ReRe:
You can attach more than one chord to a beat / note in Finale. Press Shift+Arrow key to move up. This appears to be an omission in our documentation, I've alerted our author.

Under what conditions does SHIFT+UP-ARROW work? What should I expect to see? (Just a one-pixel move?) What is the difference between pressing SHIFT-ARROW (in either direction) and just pressing the arrow key after choosing the chord's handle?

HI Adrian:

Here's a video showing Type Into Score of Chords with more than 1 chord on the beat. The cursor moves up to allow another entry. If you want to position chord symbols, then yes, select a chord handle and nudge one pixel at a time

Elaborating:

You can currently attach multiple chord symbols to a note.

Press Shift + Up arrow to go to add another chord symbol. (Mac and Win.)

HOWEVER -  the behavior is unlike lyrics, each row of which can be individually adjusted.  The chords too far apart.  Is there a way to adjust them like lyrics can be adjusted?

AND - why do I have to enter them one chord 'stack' at a time? I usually work the whole song out in a key, then transpose for the readers, then add the numbers as a second row.  To re-enter each chord in order to be able to add the "stack" is really tedious!!

AND - how do I set chord style for each of the stack? I want the top row to be numbers, but even when I add to library it "corrects" slashed chords:  4/1 becomes 4/F.   [Yes I know it's currently impossible to have different chord styles in a document]

Currently I have to use the lyrics tool to do this as an awkward workaround.  Is there a better way?
