I am having a problem with the trill function in an older file that I have up graded to the latest version of Finale. when I was playing back the score, a half note with a trill sign above it turned into a long string on 64th notes (what one is actually hearing). I can't get this to revert back to the half-note.
Do you know what version of Finale created the older files? If the notes are gray, they probably will not print. This is the way some older versions of Finale created the playback of trills.
Can you save a copy of the file and try deleting the trilled note/sixteenth notes entriely and just re-entering the trill as a trill?
