Hi.  I just paid $149 to upgrade to Finale 25.  Downloaded the software and followed the Installation Instructions.  Went to launch the software for the first time and it said, "Finale for Windows has stopped working" and then closed.  Have tried this several times, even after rebooting, and I can't get it to open past the MIDI Device setup.  I have Windows 10 and my previous Finale version (2014.5) worked fine.  Please help.

It is possible that your download/install did not run completely. I would recommend trying to start over downloading and installing v25. Be careful about programs running in the background while you do, and be sure the computer does not go into sleep mode during the process.

I definitely agree with J Adrain, just redownloading and re-running the full installer is a great place to start. 

 

If that does not work, try the steps in this knowledge base article to see if there is some sort of audio device or printing device conflict: Finale hangs when launched (Windows).
