I've started to score a tune using 3 horns, Trumpet, Tenor Sax and Trombone. The score sheet is in Concert Pitch. On playback, the first 3 bars playback just fine, howeverthe 2nd 3 bars play back an 8va higher than the actual voicings.

What could possibly be wrong?

  1. What program/version are you using?
  2. What computer operating system?

Your situation is highly atypical.

  1. Is there any chance a Staff Style has been applied to some of the measures?
  2. How did you put the score into concert pitch? Was it with the Document Options item?
  3. Are you using Garritan instruments or MIDI?
