Playback is not working. Finale 25.2 / Windows 7

Everything MakeMusic technical support has suggested for over a week has been ineffective. Can't say they aren't trying, but email is an impossible way to solve what appears to be a stubborn issue.  TeamViewer would be a much better communication device.

This problem began when I installed the latest version of Finale, never before in15 years as a user. Neither the MIDI or the VST playback is functional. 

Something must be wrong with the software or the way this software interacts with my system.  We have tried all the fixes that are included in the forum posts I have currently read.  

Any and all suggestions would be very welcome. If no one has a solution, what then??
