When you need to apply a staff style, switch to the Staff Tool.

Then select the region that should have the staff style.

Then go to

Staff menu > Apply Staff Style To > …

where you can choose “Score and Parts”, or only “Current Part/Score”.

Obviously, if you need the staff style in both the score and the linked part(s), choose “Score and Parts”.

NB:

When you copy/paste music, check whether staff styles get copied in both score and parts.

Hello, I just moved from Finale 2012 to v. 27.2

I just wrote an entire score, assuming the staff styles would automatically link to the score.  They did not.  What am I doing wrong? I am currently reassigning staff styles within each individual part.  In fact, some instruments had the styles transfer and others did not.   The user manual was not much help.

I would appreciate any help.  Thanks!  JS
