When extracting parts, the title, composer, etc. text blocks are not showing up on parts.

A text block can be attached to a specific measure and instrument

or it can be attached to a particular location on a particular page.

If you want something attached to several staves (parts) you will need to use an expression rather than a text block, or else you will have to add text blocks individually to staves on the full score or locations on parts. I was not able to find a way to hide a text block only in the score even if I unlinked it.

Thank you for responding. These are text blocks for title, subtitle, dedication, and composer as per the set up wizard. On the other hand the copyright text block did transfer over to all parts

There should be no problem if they are on page 1, they should show on page 1 in the parts. If your score has a title page and the music starts on Finale page 2, but the parts are only 1 page long, then all that text would have shown on page 2 had there been 2 pages.

Check also that the text blocks are correctly set to show at the top or bottom of the page. For example if you have a text set to be at the bottom but dragged to the top, it will be offset by a certain amount upwards. If your parts are on smaller paper, the same text block will be similarly offset upwards and will disappear off the page.

Thank you for your info. Text blocks are linked to only top staff of each system. In other words, to just the top part of the linked parts. The doc was created using the set up wizard. I originally had more staves than I do now and had formatted the score in order to proofread a hard copy. Maybe that is the cause of the problem.

Ah, I see, you used staff assigned text blocks instead of page assigned text blocks. When the text blocks are assigned to the page (select in the Text menu before creating the text block) they will behave as I described. Staff assigned will disappear if the staff is optimised, and will only appear in the part of the staff they are assigned to.

Thank you. So how do I correct this at this point

With each text block in turn select the text block, in the text menu select "Frame attributes" and change assignment  to page, define the page it is to be reattached to. You'll then need to go to the page and position it as you require. Any that have disappeared due to the staff being optimised can be accessed in scroll view. If you have deleted the staff, then the text will have been deleted too and will need to be re-created.
