Hi there,

I have experienced recently an issue with opening creator as my Finale 2010 was saying that it cannot find "ensembles.txt" file in "Component files" folder (I need to say that this file was always there and was no deleted, just Finale stopped reading it). I tried reinstalling Finale few times and few other things with no success.

Finally I thought, that maybe I could copy the whole folder into other place outside program files, which I did. Then I went to Finale options and I directed "components" to the new copied folder. This solved the issue.

I need no help, but just wanted to share it with you in case someone else also had this problem.

Okay, you say you are using Finale 2010.

What operating system (what version) are you using?

I'm using Win10 64bit.

Did the problem occur after you upgraded to Windows 10, or have you been able to use Finale 2010 with Windows 10 without problems in the past?

I'm using win10 for about a year now. This issue occured suddenly. I could open creator for few arrangements and then it stopped opening. Only moving the whole folder solved the problem. I read that I'm not the first one, but i did not find any solution online. Hence I thought it's good to share what I found.
