Please help. I am trying to use Tempo Tap to specify tempo changes in specific parts of the piece I am working on.

The manual suggests counting off a few measures before actually recording tempo changes, which seems a good idea, but I can't figure out how to do this. I specify the measure where I want to start modifying the tempo, and then when I press the space bar, it plays only one beat and then stops. How to I get it to play a bit before so I can integrate my changes with the rest of the piece?

Is there a tutorial on tempo tap which I am missing?

I am using Finale 25 on Windows 10.
