Currently have a 9.7" Samsung with a great screen.  Very light, easy to use on airplanes, easier to transport than a luggable laptop.  If there were a Finale for Android, you bet I would use it!  Frank Mitchell

Hi Frank:

Thank you for posting your request. Porting Finale to the Android platform is not something we're considering at this time. It is more likely that SmartMusic that is a web-based music platform, now with a Music Editor, would support Android in the future.

I am sticking with Finale.  But as android gets better and better, and as Microsoft users see the ease of use that comes with android tablets like the Samsung I am using right now, it may be of benefit to you to have a program that can handle Finale musx files.  I'm not saying it should be free, just available for jotting down a new idea while on an airplane, or waiting for a courtroom date, or in a dental chair (well, maybe not that).

Have you checked out NotateMe or NotateMeNow? These are Android programs which have an MusixXML output. You can write down a new idea and export it easily to Finale. I've used it often with great success. You can use a smartphone or - better - a tablet and your finger nail or a pen (I prefere an Adonit DASH). It's a good solution for me.
