Windows 10 64 bit. Finale 25.3

Hello!

 

This may be a dumb question but is there a way to make Finale default to "Play Finale thru VST" instead of "Play Finale thru MIDI"?

Thanks for posting!

 

This is a document specific setting and which setting it uses to begin with depends on how it's created. If you create a new file using File > New > Default Document, the created file will be set to Play Finale Through MIDI by default. However, if you create the file using File > New > Document With Setup Wizard, the file will be set to Play Finale Through VST (or Play Finale Through Audio Units for Mac users) when it's created.

 

Documents, including templates, retain this setting until changed.
