As mentioned in this thread, I can add the backwards tie to the note in speedy entry, but when I exit speedy entry it disappears.
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance!

This may just be an issue with redrawing the screen. If you haven't done this before, just hit CTRL+D (for Windows) and it should be ok.
Once, I had to redraw the screen when I loaded my custom library file for it to register visually (usually I don't have to). If something doesn't appear on the screen as it should, you should always try redrawing the screen or updating the layout (CTRL+U)
Simon,
You wrote.
“There is no previous note to tie to; the note it's tied to, is at the end of the repeated section.”
To get a tie in this - special - case try the Speedy Entry Tool’s (very technical) dialog box Edit Frame where you can select the option “Tie End”.
It works, but only under limited circumstances:
1. The preceding measure must have a Back Ending Repeat Bar. You can hide this Back Ending Repeat Bar with a staff style.
2. Tie ends can't be added to the first measure of the document.
Forgive me, but I don't understand what you mean by using 1st and 2nd repeat endings. If I were to make the second bar of this example a 1st repeat ending, the same issue would still exist, in that the last note of the 1st ending would need to be tied to the first note in the repeated section.
The section in question repeats ten times, and is identical each time, so you can see why I don't want to write it out in full.
Gary Thiel,
You wrote in the other thread (= “Noe tie is upside down”):
“Windows 10. I arrange both satb and ttbb scores. When I tie notes in both the lead and bass entries, the tie is not in the correct position( bass , the tie is upward and in lead, again it is upward) .”
I suspect that your post in the thread here (= “Tie to previous note' in speedy entry doesn't work”) belongs to the thread “Noe tie is upside down”.
In Other Words that you may have posted in the wrong thread.
