Hello everybody,
I have Finale 25.3 on Windows 10 1703 Pro x64, and now I have two problems. I'm transcribing the string quartets
of Saint-Saens to make Midis and intended to write everything as closely as possible to the original score. But this also means that some note stems are pointing differently from what is used today.
When I use Simple Entry and press L to change the stem direction, Finale sometimes crashes. It doesn't happen every time but usually when I have Finale already running for a while. I don't know what causes this. I usually use the Scroll View, maybe it has something to do with that?
Secondly, in one movement of the first string quartet, there are many tremoli on eighth notes. But when I apply them with the
Articulation Tool, Finale doesn't play them. But only in this movement! In all other movements the tremoli are properly played.
Strangely, tremoli on other note values are played as well.
First I thought it's because of the 2/4 time signature but when I open a new file, set the time sig. to 2/4, put in some eighth notes and attach tremoli, they are played! So I don't know what I did wrong.
I attached the file of the movement from my Dropbox:
Thank you for your help!
