I have literary given up trying to teach Finale certain chords.  For example, it cannot learn Em+7 which is an Em chord with a D#.  I have tried playing it multiple times under "Learn Chords" and it cannot play it.  There are others usually involving suspensions or added notes as with Jazz Chords.  There was not an issue in older versions.  I'm running Finale 25 and Mac 10.11.1

MIDI input does recognize the chord. If you want the spelling altered to +7 you can change it, but be sure you edit the suffix that the MIDI input defaults to if you want the +7 added automatically.
