If I'm entering notes in Speedy Note, and I change a note to its enharmonic equivalent with the "9" key, could Finale remember that for the rest of the measure?  Or, have it automatically update the spelling table to reflect that?

Also, an option to "always spell triads as triads" would be fantastic, when using MIDI entry with speedy note.   An occasional D major chord entered in an F major key signature shouldn't default to D-Gb-A, even if it's in a flat key.

Hi Jeremy:

Thank you for the suggestion. I agree that FInale needs to improve how it handles enharmonic spelling. Ii'm tracking the work as FIN4304 in our backlog.

Thanks, Michael. Here's another vote for easier handling of enharmonic spelling.

I'm just circling back to check on this. Apologies to those who commented years ago and got an email about this follow-up.

I wouldn't worry about it, since Michael Johnson is no longer with Finale!
