I downloaded a midi file, Sir Duke - Stevie Wonder, and wanted to print out some horn parts for my guys.

When I import the midi file into finale, it's an abomination to read.  sextuplets, 32nd notes, etc.  Being a trumpet player, it's pretty much unreadable/playable in that form.

Searched around and can't find what I'm looking for.  Is there a way to make finale show the file as 8th and 16th notes and put "swing" at the top of the page so the part makes sense?  I was looking under the quantization settings but can't get it to make any difference in the appearance.

I've done 100's of parts but whenever I encounter this, I'm lost.

OK, figured it out.  Appears that it needs to be done on the initial "open" the midi file step.  Set the quantization and note durations there and it comes out much better.
