I've used Finale for transcribing songs since I purchased an early version of Allegro. But when I switched from Windows to Mac a few years ago, I'm finding that I can only hear my keyboard when I'm in Simple Edit mode.  That is, I play the keyboard and Finale sounds the note.

I need to be be able to hear it when in other modes or even when switching application focus to Transcribe instead of Finale -- all of which worked great in Windows (which may have just been because it was an earlier version of Finale, not sure).

Could I just have my MIDI settings incorrect, or is this a change in how the software works -- or how MIDI is handled on Mac vs Windows?

I can't remember at this point, but I think I fixed this when I first moved from Windows to Mac, but have run into the same problem when I install new versions of Finale (now 25). This makes me think it might just be a MIDI setting...
