Check your default music font, make sure it's set to Maestro. If it is set to Maestro, then check and make sure the Maestro font is installed on your computer.

Your program is not using the correct music font (Maestro). When you downloaded, did you do the full download (including Garritan too, if you want to use the instruments)? 

Open the Edit > Document Options and see what font it points to.

There is nothing wrong with leaving Finale 2014.5 installed, but do not try to share its folders to save space. Best to use the custom locations in the install program.

I just now notice the error selecting font "maestro", using "wingdings"  I think that is the problem.... It is not listed in the font list.  Can you help me get it in there....? 

No idea, but you might look at options in the Data Check and Default Music font sections of the Document menu.

Thank you for your assistance... of the first two responses I was able see that I in fact did not get the font's installed correctly.   I reinstalled them and it works perfectly.   I appreciate your help....
