Hi,

so I start the chart with pizz strings and 20 bars later, it should change to arco.  It's marked properly, but in playback...it is still pizzicato.

Now what?

Someone help.

Buffi,

What VST are you using to produce the sounds?

General MIDI? Garritan? Other?

I am currently using Finale v26 3.1.520 on Window 11.

I'm having the same problem: The change from arco to pizz. works fine, but then changing back to pizz. doesn’t work—the part keeps playing pizz. Additionally, sometimes changing from pizz. to arco “works” except that the arco then turns into an unmeasured string tremolo.

Per Mike Halloran’s suggestion of a year ago, I’ve reviewed that article: Having trouble with Finale's playback interpretation (Human Playback®)? : Pizzicato/arco and problems with other keyswitches, and have followed those step-by-step instructions for providing specific parameters to both the arco and pizz. expressions, using the playback/dump dropdown menu. And these parameter changes have NOT corrected the issue.

Can anyone else provide more info that can correct the arco to pizz. (and back) problem?

Thank you!
