I created a new template from scratch and all low Ledger line notes in the treble clef below B below middle C are light brown. All other notes are black. This is a visual thing and has no effect on printing, but it bugs me to have the light brown. The black notes are easier to see. The bass clef is not affected. I'm using Finale 2012c and Win 10.  How can I fix this?

This is a factor of instrument range-checking.

You can change the "level-of-difficulty" setting or turn the function off via the View Menu > Out-of-Range Notes option.

Thanks that solved it and it appears to be a global setting.
