Hi List,

I've had this same problem develop on other scores I've working on. I can only save my work if I do a manual save and dictate exactly where I want the files to go. If I do an AutoSave, it can't find the file destination.

Now, its doing that same issue whenever I do the manual save.

The error is " Copy Error 2"

C:\Users\Tom\AppData\Localtemp\FIN611C.tmp

to  C:\Users\Tom\AppData\temp\FIN3B86.tmp\presets\1 preset

It looks the FIN611C and FI3B86, whatever that means, could be the issue. Any clues as to how to remedy this?

You should be able to find out and set the desired location for autosaved files in Edit > Preferences > Folders.

Hello! While attempting to save a new file, following windows appear:

While attempting to access "ihmemaa.musx.zip" the File Manager reported an error. Finale - Error occured ID = -1

And after that:

The document "Untitled" could not be saved as "Ihmemaa.musx".

Where does the zip come from? What is the problem?

I have Finale 25.5.0.259 and macOS 10.13.6

Was this a music file you have entered from scratch or something imported as XML or MIDI?

Are you, perhaps, trying to save in a folder or to a file name that is read-only?
