I am sure you are most likely already aware that the double arrows with the bar on the left of the playback device that return the playback counter to the beginning of the piece do not function UNLESS you are at the very end of the piece (but the 'forward to the end of the piece' double arrows always work). I thought that I should not assume that you knew this. If you are going to have to fix this anyway, it would be REALLY NICE if one could be able to click on the new 'measure boxes' above the staff and the playback counter would change to that measure!!! I do not see any other current function for those boxes other than for orientation/reference purposes.
