I have a Dell with windows 10

running Finale 5

 

I just finished a verse then decided I wanted another verse. When I copy and paste, the music is all squished together-unreadable. Cannot move small measures, in other words, open them up.

(I do not recognize Finale "5" and will guess you mean "25")

Select the measures involved and respace (press 4). Also be sure you do not have systems locked, as that can affect spacing. Presumably lyrics are already included in your music spacing parameters or the first stanza would be misspaced too.

The squished measures don't straighten out and I didn't see any place to upload the score.  These new ideas about not having support people you can actually talk to is HORRIBLE. I seem to have unusual problems.I saw nothing in the knowledge base that even mentioned squeezed oranges, much less measures.
