It shows the opening screen and is just frozen.  Have tried removing and installing it a couple of times, with no help.  This is the latest 64 bit  version of Windows. Using Windows 10.

Any ideas?

It sounds like Finale may be running into a conflict with either an audio device or printing device. I would recommend starting with the information in this article: Finale hangs when launched (Windows).

I probably should have mentioined that 2014.5 works just fine.  It is just the latest version of Finale that fails to open (just freezes on the initial Finale screen.)  Nevertheless, I will try and see if there is a conflict with the printer or audio drivers.

And it may be a problem with my webroot software - though I turned off the firewall, etc. and it still did not work - but it may be something more hidden than that.
