Hi. First time posting. New Windows install. Garritan is installed. Aria player is working. But Finale isn't seeing find the garritan instruments. Rescanning for VSTs did not work.

The 2nd part of the tip (below) guides you into manuallyadd the correct folder to the vst list. However, i don't have the referenced VST2 folder under Program Files\Common Files. 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.

If the issue persists, please follow these final steps to manually point Finale to the correct directory.

  1. Open Finale (if it is not open already).
  2. Choose MIDI/Audio > Device Setup > Manage VST Plug-in Directories.
  3. In the VST Plug-in Directories dialog box click the Add button.
  4. Expand the Computer (Windows 7) or This PC (Windows 8 & 10) section.
  5. Expand the C:\ drive.
  6. Expand the Program Files section.
  7. Expand the Common Files section.
  8. Expand the VST2 section.
  9. Click the Garritan folder once so it is selected.
  10. Click the OK button.
  11. Click Close.
  12. Restart Finale to see if the issue has been rectified.

When you downloaded, there were two installers in the file. Did you run both installers? 

 

The demo does not have the Garritan/Aria installer.

I realize this is an old post but I'm having the same issues.  Just updated to 27.2 and it won't show any Garritan instruments

Did you run both installers? 27.2 updates the Aria engine so both installers need to be run. Many will quit the 2nd because the instruments are already installed—don’t and let it run. Reboot when done.

Duane, I had the same problem.
I could solve it by copying the file:  
ARIA Player VST_x64.dll 
from the folder  
C:\Program Files\Garritan\ARIA Player\VST
 to the Folder  
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

(there is another  file: ARIA Player Multi VST_x64.dll , I don't know what it is).

For programs that can handle it, like Cubase or Dorico, the Aria Multi Player allows one to send each instrument output to a different mixer channel or track.
