I'm fairly new to Finale, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a clean, efficient way to get a song with a refrain and different verses to be both visually laid out properly and also to play back properly.  The song I am working on is of the form Refrain - Verse 1 - Refrain - Verse 2 - Refrain - Verse 3 - Refrain.  The verses have slightly different melody lines so to get proper playback I can't just repeat Refrain - Verse three times.  I am running Finale V25 with Windows 10.  Any thoughts/guidance would be much appreciated.

This is the simplest solution I could imagine. It does, however, mean including a final Refrain at the end (which, if you want to end with a bang, may be what you'd want, but I would take up more space in a leaflet). A slightly more complicated version would involve a repeat command to send the end of verse 3 back to the start and then have a (hidden) Fine (in addition to the "To next verse") at the end of the refrain which kicks in only on repeat 5.

The "To next verse" command was adapted from the Coda command in the Repeat menu.

I have only shown the second screen of that Coda option.

Thanks for the ideas!  That does seem rather simple.  As you allude to, I would prefer to not have a written final refrain in the interest of reducing page count, but the actual performance (and hence, the Finale playback) would include it.  This is great, I'll work with it and see what I can come up with.  Thanks again, you have been very helpful!
