I read the tutorial about slurring notes. but something prevents its appearance. \The note appears you can place by the dot and drag to another but it does not have an actual symbol. for example two measure have a major c and I want to connect them so It should slur  , but if it does not is there a setting to initiate to make it work. Also if you want to play a note with a whole note for example when you play the note you can hear it but to occupy the same verical space  below it or above it like whole note with one or more moving notes you have to put the notation in the other stave. you can play it but not notate it what do you do?
