Hello everyone, I've recently update my Aria player on my Mac and recently learned that i should be able to use Aria in Garageband. I have read the notes on adding a track and where to look for Aria.

I know the vts's are working as Reaper(64bit) sees and uses aria just fine. Alas, garageband cannot see it. !

I am at a complete loss here knowing that other 64bit programmes see Aria just fine..

Anyone have some help here please.

Rachel.

I had the same problem. You need to download the latest version of the Aria Player. You can do a Google search and find the link.

Once you have downloaded the new version Go to Computer > Library > Preferences and move com.Garritan.ARA Player.plist to Trash. Then install the latest version of Aria Player.

I found that the plist file in my Preferences folder was the old version even though I thought I had upgraded to the new version. Trashing the plist file before installing seemed to force a new version of the plist to be installed in Preferences. Once I did that I could see GPO in Garageband.

However, the sounds play but will not record. I have a question posted in the Apple Support forum for that problem.

Hope this helps.

I solved the recording problem. When I use an external keyboard (iRig Mini in this case), I can record GPO. Garageband will not record when using GPO's virtual keyboard.
