The next update in the Finale Version 25 series, Finale v25.5, has been released today (11/9/2017). This update is a free maintenance update for all owners of Finale v25. Finale v25.5 focuses on fixing some crashes caused by macOS 10.13 High Sierra and increased stability. Some points of note are:

• (Windows) A fix for a crash that occurred when exporting to audio.
• (Windows) The Smart Cue Notes and Drum Groove plug-ins now appear in the Plug-Ins > Scoring and Arranging sub menu.
• (Mac) Clear function. Non-extended keyboard users can now access the clear key functionality by using FUNCTION+SHIFT+DELETE. This function can be used to reset the positioning of the following:

Group and staff names
Brackets
Tuplets
Slurs
Measure numbers
Expressions
Articulations
Repeat brackets

• (Mac) Crashes that began in High Sierra, such as when exiting fullscreen mode, canceling the Garritan Ambience warning dialog box, opening file that had the Lyrics Window open when previously closed, and more have been resolved.

This update also includes additional functionality for MusicXML 3.1.
