Fortunately, Finale NotePad does have offline user manual content that's already installed. One drawback I've found is that this version of the manual's search bar doesn't work; however, clicking through the index works just as well. Here's how to find/use it:

1. Hold down the WINDOWS key on your computer keyboard and press the letter R at the same time to open the Run  dialog box.

2. Type in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Finale Notepad 2012\Help Files\Content 

3. Click OK.

4. Double-click the Contents.htm file to open the home page of the Finale Notepad 2012 manual. It will open in your default web browser.

5. As mentioned before, the search bar won't work, but you can click the Reference tile to see the index and the Encyclopedia tile to see some key terms.
