OS 10.13.1 / Finale 25.3.0.276

This is the first time I've used my current version of Finale (was using 2008). I have not changed any defaults or such. I just created two short files then added dynamics.  They are not playing back as indicated. The tempo changes (ritard./a tempo) are playing back.

Suggestions? Help.  I never had a problem with this in 2008 version so don't know where to start.
