I have been using extended screens on my windows 10 machines and find this is very helpful to having one program running on one screen and the other on my bigger monitor via hdmi port.   Anyway, I guess if one has 2 video cards this might be possible but if Finale could be made to support this tool one could have score on one screen and a part on the other and use 2 large screens at the same time.  Just a thought.   Maybe this could be possible,   If any of you have used this feature on your computers you know that it can be really handy.

Hi John:

Thank you for posting your request. While Jeff and Adrian pointed out the current solution, there remains a story in our backlog (FIN-4759) to support multiple instances of the document windows within a session of Finale. Currently, Finale on Windows is limited to 1 main document window. You can have it extend over multiple monitors, but you can't have separate windows on each monitor. We have to clean up some technical debt before we could support such functionality. Thank you again for the suggestion.

This has been available for some time. Under Finale's window menu, choose "new window". You can have a score and a part opened simultaneously, 2 different parts, whatever...

Before I upgraded to my current extra-large screen, I used two screens, although the video card did have two outputs.

Many thanks for the comments and suggestions.  I think we can put this to rest for now.  Maybe Finale might consider this.
