Not a Finale newbie here. I have been using this program for 8 years.  I am wondering if this is a Windows 10 issue. because i didn't have a problem with Windows 8.  Also, I am using a Roland UM-ONE drive to hook my MIDI up to my computer (my Roland Fantom G8 doesn't have updated driver options anymore). My Hyperscribe is not registering.  I have my MIDI keyboard hooked up, and it will do simple entry work and is obviously connected and working, but when I double click a measure to use the hyperscribe tool, I get nothing.  I have my input set to "all channels," and have even gone through the recording options.  What I get is no performance whatsoever. Putting everything in by hand kind of defeats the purpose of having this program. I cannot find a forum or discussion post on this issue.  I am not getting a call back from tech supprt (BTW, I am dissapointed there isn't a single person that will answer the phone over there. I did, however,  put in a request for a phone call). Is there anyone that can possibly help me understand the issue? I am beyond baffled.

Try single-clicking on a measure to start Hyperscribe. The second click stops Hyperscribe input.

Hope that helps.

My Hyperscribe Input is still not working with speedy entry as the Midi recorder. I get the click or 2 measures of empty beats ahead of note entry, but Hyperscribe still will not convert the actual input of notes. What gives? My computer is a macOS - High Sierra version 10.13.6 and my Finale is Version 25.5.0.259. How can I get positive results? Thanks for any GOOD NEWS! JACQUI HAIRSTON

Speedy Entry does not use Hyperscribe. Speedy Entry is a step-input method in which one holds down a note (or chord) on the MIDI keyboard (assuming one is using MIDI rather than QWERTY-keyboard input) and then presses a number key to enter the rhythmic value.

Hyperscribe is a separate real-time entry (which you likely already realize). I am guessing MIDI input works for other Finale functions (such as Speedy Entry). I cannot productively use Hyperscibe due to latency issues (as well as poor keyboard technique).

(Presumably you have checked "Allow MIDI Input" in the Speedy Entry menu if all you get in Speedy are rests.)
